Account & Data Deletion (Hangout)

 This page explains how users of Hangout (“the App”) can request deletion of their account and associated data.

1) Request account deletion in the app

If you have the in-app feature:

  1. Open the Hangout app

  2. Go to Profile →  Settings →  Delete Account

  3. Follow the instructions to confirm deletion

After confirmation, your deletion request will be processed.

2) Request account deletion via email (if you can’t access the app)

If you cannot access your account, you can request deletion by email:

  • Email: [drbachapp01@gmail.com]

  • Subject: Account Deletion Request – Hangout

  • Please include:

    • Your account identifier (email/phone/username used to sign in)

    • Country/region (optional)

    • Any relevant details to help us locate your account

We may ask you to verify ownership of the account to prevent unauthorized deletion.

What data will be deleted

When your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize (when applicable) the following data associated with your account:

  • Account profile information (e.g., username, avatar, bio)

  • Friends / contacts list (in-app)

  • Chat messages and conversation history (as stored on our servers)

  • Game activity and in-app interaction data tied to your account

  • Reports, blocks, and moderation records associated with your account (may be retained temporarily for safety)

Note: Some messages may remain visible to other users in conversations if they were stored on their device, but they will no longer be associated with your active account on our systems.

Data retention (how long it takes)

  • We generally complete deletion within [30] days after verifying your request.

  • Some data may be retained for a limited period if required for:

    • security and fraud prevention

    • legal compliance

    • dispute resolution

    • enforcing our policies and preventing abuse

After the retention period ends, the retained data will be permanently deleted or anonymized.

Data that may be kept (limited cases)

We may retain certain information for a limited time, such as:

  • Records of consent and account actions (for compliance)

  • Fraud/abuse prevention logs

  • Transaction or billing records (if applicable), as required by law

This retained data is protected and is not used to identify you for normal app functionality.

Request deletion of specific data 


At this time, we do not offer separate deletion of specific data without deleting the account. You can request full account deletion using the steps above.
